Poll Says 'Hunger Games' More Buzzworthy Than 'Breaking Dawn II'

Just when you think you have the internet figured out, it goes and surprises you. For a good while now, "Twilight" has been the king of online voting, as we saw the last MTV Movie Awards get more or less dominated by "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" while "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" got almost nothing.

But now, that same crowd of voters seems to have changed its mind. A new poll from MTV's Nextmovie.com saw "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" losing out not only to Potter, but to "The Hunger Games" as well. And Frazier goes downnnn!

The poll asked viewers which movie they were most looking forward to in 2012. "The Hunger Games" took first place with 51% of the vote, while "Breaking Dawn Part 2" took 45% of the vote and landed in second place.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" landed more blows to the "Twilight" saga, as the Potter film got the most votes for best movie of 2011, beating out "Breaking Dawn Part 1." Not only that, but when voters decided on which on-screen couple was best, Ron and Hermione beat out Edward and Bella.

Shocker, or deserving win? Considering "Deathly Hallows Part 2" was one of the best-reviewed movies of the year and "Breaking Dawn Part 2" was among the worst, probably the latter. But does this also mean that public opinion is shifting away from "Twilight?" Is it just a late surge for "Harry Potter?" We'll have to see what happens at the MTV Movie Awards and find out who mops the floor with whom.
